As well as it’s natural attributes, the location is an ideal base providing easy access to explore the Northumbrian Coast and Countryside direct from your door with direct access onto to the Northumberland Coastal Route which passes the site and makes a good walking or cycle route to local attractions including several listed below.
The Northumberland Coastal Path and St Oswald’s Way footpath actually pass through the farm within short walking distance of the site. The A1 Trunk Road is also within 1 mile giving excellent access to the greater area. Other local attractions are close at hand including Budle Bay (1 mile), Bamburgh Castle & Beach (4 miles), Seahouses (7.5 miles) St Cuthbert’s Cave (6 miles walking, 8 miles driving), and the Sandstone Way cycle route (5 miles). Other very popular destinations include the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (8 miles), Chillingham Castle and Wild Cattle (10 miles), Northumberland National Park (11 miles) and Alnwick Castle and Gardens (17 miles), all within 20 minute drive.
We offer seasonal wild camping on Kippy Heugh Crag where guests can venture out within the fenced field enclosure and choose a spot to camp. We have car parking, heated shower and toilet facilities as well as general waste disposal and an outdoor tap and sink for washing, all found at the site entrance/exit. Organic free range eggs from the farm are available to buy at our caravan site.
Guests are welcome to use suitable free-standing raised fire pits and/or barbecues however this is strictly on the basis no combustible materials are placed directly on the ground, grass or rocks and ashes are disposed of safely in the specified metal bin at the entrance/exit to the site. No campfires are permitted.

St Cuthbert’s Way, St Oswald’s Way and the Northumbrian Coastal Path can all be joined at their various stages near to the village of Belford. Further inland, the Cheviot Hill range provide excellent walks and viewpoints from where you can enjoy 360 degree views of the picturesque landscape.
The 120 mile Sandstone Way cycle route is a fabulous way to see more of the area. There are also numerous country lanes and bridleways to explore.
