Booking Conditions for Camping/Touring Caravans & Motorhomes
Cancellation: The deposit is non-refundable within 6 weeks of the holiday start date. A booking forms a contract between you (the person making the booking) and Shearling Caravan Sites hereafter referred to as “Shearling Caravan Sites”, “we”, “us” and “our”.
We agree to hold the Pitch for the agreed days for the number of people in your group in your original booking, and you (the person making the booking) agree to pay for the accommodation as requested. We would therefore recommend that you take out Holiday Insurance in case of cancellation.
Please note: Any persons who are subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 may not use our campsite.
Conditions of Touring Pitch Hire
1. Deposit & Full Payment: The deposit sum specified in the original booking confirmation correspondence must be made when the booking is made. The full balancing payment specified in the original booking confirmation correspondence is to be made by midnight on the start date of the holiday.
2. Phone bookings will remain firm provided we receive initial payment at time of booking.
3. All bookings commence after 1pm (subject to unavoidable delays) on date of arrival and terminate at 12:00pm on date of departure. Arrivals after 10:00pm are permitted at our discretion and subject to prior approval.
4. A maximum of 6 persons per pitch are allowed per pitch.
5. “We” reserve the right to re-let the Pitch if the person named on the booking form and their party has not taken up residence by 12 noon the morning after the start date of the holiday unless notified to the contrary. It will be deemed that the booking is cancelled and all monies forfeited.
6. “We” reserve the right to demand guests vacate the Pitch and thereafter re-let it if the full balancing payment has not been received by Shearling Caravan Sites by midnight on the start date of the holiday. Failure to do so will be deemed that the booking is cancelled and all monies forfeited.
7. The Touring Pitch must be left in a clean and tidy condition and the hirer will make good before departure.
8. Young parties of all males/females or combination of both are only accepted at management discretion. No stag/hen parties will be permitted.
9. Tents are permitted subject to prior approval and where accompanying a booked caravan or motorhome stay. They are charged at an additional rate of £18 per tent per night.
10. “We” reserve the right to refuse any booking application.
11. For the comfort of guests, we reserve the right to terminate the party’s holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons or dogs in the holiday party might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of guests or members of our staff.
12. We reserve the right to stop electric and water services to the Pitch where guests fail to pay the full balancing payment owed by midnight on the start date of the holiday.
13. Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times and should not be left alone at any time. Any mess should be cleared and disposed of responsibly.
14. Some breeds of dog, including those listed in the Dangerous Dog Act, are not allowed, please check with us when you book.
15. “We” would like to draw your attention to the 5mph speed limit within the site.
16. Parents are responsible for their children at all times and children should never be left unaccompanied.
17. There is a car parking space for your reserved pitch. Any additional vehicles brought by guests or their visitors must use the site carpark.
18. The site is only permitted to be used for holiday purposes.
19. Please respect fellow campers at all times, especially at night. No loud noise after 10:00pm.
20. For the comfort and privacy of other park users, we allow a maximum of 4 additional visitors per pitch per day.
21. We cannot accept any responsibility for personal injury to customers or inconvenience, loss or damage to personal property – however caused.
22. All bookings must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 years of age.
23. We reserve the right to evict anyone, with no monies refunded, for not complying with site rules.
